I believe you do. You are still using their photo for business purposes, so to speak. Do you use your web page for financial gain? Are you promoting your photographic talents? If you answered yes to either of these 2 questions, I think you had better get a model release. Then again, I'm no lawyer.

I found this on a legal website, "Typically, before you can use a picture of someone in an advertising campaign or for other commercial purposes, you need to have the right to copy the photograph (a copyright license from the photographer) and the right to use the individual’s image (typically achieved with a “Model Release” from the individual)."
Now this pertains to using someones photograph but the fact you still need a model release leads me to believe that if you are using it for commercial purposes on your website you would need a release even if you are the photographer. I'm a firm believer that when in doubt get a release.

Can you recognize the person? Get a release.
Are they unindentifiable? Don't need one.
