How much for repairs?

So some careless kid in my photo class dropped one of the Pentax K1000's that my teacher lends out.

Here's the damage:





It's now impossible to focus as the lens won't move...

It's a standard 50mm lens.

That sucks. I know nothing about Pentax gear, but if it's anything like Nikon and Canon, the 50mm lens should be pretty inexpensive. I would bet the repair would cost more than what you could replace the lens for.
