K10D examples using telephoto lens

Hi Folks..First a little bit about myself...I am a complete amateur photographer, so I really need the equipment to do the job for me...
Currently I own a K10D, K110D, D40 and D200 along with a Fuji S9100..

Of all my cameras, I would say hands down my K10D is the best...I have also found that Sigma lenses seem to work the best with my Pentax...
I love sports photography, shooting animals and people...I am not much into landscapes or flowers..I like action shots...

Ok..Here are some examples of photos taken with my K10D that have only been cropped and resized...These photos were taken at 4 stories up on top of the Kodak theature in Hollywood...The distance is about 1/2 a city block away...In other words, this put my sigma lens to the test...

The lens here is set at 250mm


The lens here is set at 300mm


The lens here is set at 400mm...While a little soft, I could have sharpened it a little, but I wanted to show the photo un altered..

Very nice. I've considered getting some more lenses for my ist DL...and may have to seriously consider the Sigma lenses. You have done Sigma and Pentax proud...thanx for sharing.
oh...btw...the 250mm shot doesn't seem to be coming through...you might ck your links...

These where taken with the sigma 135-400 APO lens all hand held.
It cost about $550.00 from B&H

I also have the bigma 50-500mm and while it is a good lens, I find the quality of of the 135-400 to be sharper and allot faster. This lens sells for $999.00 and while it can be hand held, it is simply to heavy and awkward to be carrying around.

I think I am going with all Tamron lenses as they offer a 6 year warranty, I've putting together a wish list, so the 70-200 is added to the list, now I'm looking for a prime lens, any ideas?

I am a newbie myself and just purchased a Pentax FA 50mm 1.4. I don't know if this is the type of lens you are looking for, but I have been very pleased with the images. Also like the low-light options it gives me.
