    XZ-1 built in flash

    It's surprisingly good !
Doesn't get tricked by bright reflective detail on the shoes, works out to 30 feet in the crowd shot, and well balanced set to fill light.

Yes, I did put in the right picture eventually.

    Re: XZ-1 built in flash

is that a red enough face?
I think this must have been after I dropped the XZ-1 on its lens
Thought I used the XZ on all the car shots indoors for the better high ISO performance.
Strange to say that comparing a compact to a 1D!
But at 1600 ISO the XZ-1 beats the 1D hands down for noise.

Off to find the right image to upload.
Sometime before the XZ-1 hit the concrete :cryin:

Ah yes, this will do, I dialled the flash back to fill-in from standard flash and apart from fall-off on the right where the VF-2 blocks a little of the light, it's done a good job.

The photos look good to me - especially the last one.

BTW, how IS your XZ-1 doing after the "accident?"

The built in flash has been really interesting to me. I've never owned a camera with the ability to scale the power of the flash.

I particularly like setting the flash on full power with the Dramatic Art setting then taking some shots of my dogs. You can get some super interesting pictures like that!
