Problem with E-420
Yesterday, i seem to have lost all power in my e420 unit. The battery was fully charged based on the blue idicater light on the charger.. I checked all the contacts on the battery itself as well as inside the battery port. I get nothing.. I am in the process of sending it back to the manufacterer because its still under warranty.. Has anyone experienced this problem with there unit??
Side Note:
The camera has never been dropped or wet..

Re: Problem with E-420
I don't read to much about completely dead cameras. Let us know how it works out. Did you take a meter and check the battery?

No i didn't.. I don't have one readily available..

Re: Problem with E-420
Just a thought but you could have a battery that shows a charge but the second you put a load on it it dies. Try the battery in another camera.

Re: Problem with E-420
i dont have any extras either.. Do they sell Li-Ion batteries at Radio Shack??

Re: Problem with E-420
I am not sure. Ebay sells batteries about as cheap as you will find. If you are close to a Radio Shack I am sure they would check voltage for you.

Re: Problem with E-420
I bought another battery and it wasnt the problem.. So i returned it and got my money back... as for the camera I sent it off to Olympus in NY and its getting repair for free.. They are gonna send it back to me on the friday the 21.. It should be all good when I get it back..
I never thought in a million years that a camera would have me stressed out lol...

Re: Problem with E-420
Update:
Well I sent the camera out to Olympus and I had it fixed and returned in 3DAYS!!! It turns out I must have fried one of the circuit boards.. How this happened, i have no idea.. It was repaired under warranty and I also got a free battery and Hot-shoe cover out of the deal...
The camera is as good as new and I'm happy again..
