    Olympus Studio 2

Is anyone using Oly studio 2?

I am wondering if it isn't any better than Oly Master 2, which I and apparently many others, find incredibly slow and clunky.

    Re: Olympus Studio 2

I've been using Studio 2 for tethered shooting and have switched from Master to Studio to develop also, it has quite a few more tools

As to speed, I just maxed out my memory and find it takes ~ 4 seconds to develop an image. I haven't yet tried a batch process but the speed is fine for me... I went from 1 G to 3 G and noticed the speed went from ~ 6 - 7 seconds to ~4.

    Cheers, Don

Studio 2 has more tools to work with (like RAW editing), it's a little bit faster than Master 2, both need memory for editing, but if you want to do PP it's better to go to some other program.
Personally i use Master 2 for catalogging and XnView for PP.

At the end, it all depends on what you want to do.

    Regards,
    Chris

Just to be clear, Master does raw files also...

I have been doing fine with Master 2 although it is extemely slow on my '02 vintage eMac. I convert to TIFF then edit in Elements 3.0, another oldie, but it seems to work until I upgrade to a new Mac and newer version of PS Elements.
