    Olympus sp560uz viewfinder issue.
Need your help out there..........My sp560 viewfinder defaults to the LCD each and every time I take a picture (press the shutter) Is this normal?? I did not have this problem with the sp550 I had before.

Do you mean that it shows the picture after each shot or switches to live view and stays there? If it is just showing the picture for a few seconds that is probably normal.

I'm sorry I'll explain it again. After I take a pic. using the viewfinder it automatically switches to the LCD and shows the picture taken there. I'm positive I did not have this issue with the sp550 I had before. Can this be a new characteristic of this camera or worse a malfunction?

I think that is normal. I am not familiar with the model that you have but every other digital camera I have ever owned has done this. It shows you the picture but then the LCD will go off after a few seconds of showing you the image or until you take another shot.

This is default behavior of the oly 560 Uz and can be switched off in the camera setup menu at rec view by selecting off. ;a lot of the settings are easier to find if you download the pdf of the manual and increase the size of text and pics to 125%. It can be found at olympus support on the internet. Hope this helps you, I know the menus can be confusing but the info is there..good luck!!

    Re: Olympus sp560uz viewfinder issue.
I was able to switch off the LCD via the camera set up menu. It means I am no longer having the annoying black out and preview on the LCD screen after taking a picture, now, is there any way to have the preview shown on the viewfinder. I wear glasses and never use the LCD.

yes, simply press the [( )] screen/viewfinder toggle button on the back of the camera just above the lcd. Using this you can see pics or menus even in strong light. Hope this solves your probs.
