    Printing effect

I took this photo monday afternoon, high light but gray sky. The water effect is not to bad on screen, but render very flat when printed. Does any one has a suggestion?

    Re: Printing effect

I would increase the brightness, and the contrast, but not so much that you lose the feather detail in the swan. It is rather flat looking, particularly if you ignore the little colour there is and see it in black and white, the base of the beak vanished into the dark water behing and there's nothing you can do about that, just luck the ripples were the wrong way, against a lighter patch of water the head would stand out more.
