Panasonic G1 review at DCRP

The Digital Camera Resource Page is the first to post a review of the Panasonic G1.

The IQ and the review itself show this camera to be quite promising

I'm still holding out for Oly's version, however

Oly's version is more like a girl's night out camera than a micro DSLR - at least, that's what Olympus is saying. I think that's a great idea; I'd like a P&S sized camera with 4/3 image quality. On the other hand, I think that olympus would be making a mistake if they don't produce a rangefinder style camera, for people who do want small but don't want pink.

I have only seen these and held them at local and larger Wolf/Ritz camera shops...I have one enroute and should receive it today...I was impressed with the EVH...size of the camera itself with kit lens and the Live View...I think it will bridge the gap between point and shoot and traditional DSLRs...looking forward to it..

my G1 arrived...I like the Live View and the bright EVIL...I haven't had much of a chance to do anything as yet...waiting on SDHC and a reader...very nice, compact camera...

I'd me interested to know if they fixed the problem I found at a camera show.
In burst mode the EVF (electronic view finder) went blank after the first shot and didn't start refreshing until the third. Would make it rather hard to use for sports

Comparison of an L1 4/3rds and G1 micro 4/3rds both with kit lenses...please excuse the dust...

Thanks for posting the picture. I think that is the first picture of the back of the G1 I have seen. Please when you do get time post some pictures at different ISO's Also a review would be great.
