old lens compatibility with new cameras?
A friend of mine asked me about his old Olympus lenses he has from his 35mm days. Says he has a bunch of them and wishes they would work on the new cameras. I said he should find out cause I know that alot of the Nikon lenses will but you might lose metering and or autofocus.

Does anyone know if the old lenses are compatible with the new digital bodies for Olympus? What if any functions will be lost with the use of the older lenses ?

    Thanks !!!

Check this link out. Olympus makes an adaptor to fit the OM lenses to the four third bodies. You will lose AF but I think that the metering would be close. If your friend has some nice lenses I think it would be worth the investment.

Check out the Olympus website, they have adaptors for the old OM system Zuiko lenses (yay!) for the E500, 410 and 510 DSLRs. You can probably find them for less $$$ elsewhere.
