    Flash Question

I have always used a Yashica flash unit for ever camera I have ever used. I never use a flash in automatic, always manual. I just got thru testing out a Canon QL-17 and used the flash unit on it and it worked fine. Can I use this flash unit on a DSLR until I can come up with the funds for a Olympus flash?

    Re: Flash Question

Don't expect any TTL, camera-controlled flash metering. I would be amazed if an Olympus camera and Canon flash could communicate anything more complicated than "fire." I think the Canon flash will work - but only manually. And unless there's a manual power output control on the flash, you'll need to control your flash exposure with the lens aperture - that's the old fashioned way
