First shots with the Bigma
Greetings,
New to me this afternoon, testing the auto focus @ 500mm through grass and onto a "black" surface, of course Max moved just as I shot but I believe the character of the image overcomes that one little, teeny tiny technical detail :D

I think I'm going to Love this Lens, ahh...

Re: First shots with the Bigma
I've read that the IS doesn't work at 500 MM but I beg to differ. There are tons of times that my shots would've been blown I had not turned on the IS at that length.
Have fun.. great lens/body combo you have there =)

I think you will enjoy the lens. Thanks for posting. Don't forget to write a review.

LOL Greg,
I can't tell you how pleased I am to have you back bugging us for reviews :D
The plan is to get some time in the field with it and then I will take some lens size comparison shots and post my initial impressions.
Cheers, Don

Re: First shots with the Bigma
Congrats on the new toy. Hope it brings you excellent photos.
Are you satisfied with the Sigma quality?
Re: First shots with the Bigma
Quality seems fine, nice finish, smooth action.
The only thing I need to do is get a new lens cap, it came with a POS side pinch style.
Size isn't an issue, I hadn't planned on shooting it hand held and the Jobu Jr 2 gimbal works like a charm with it mounted.
Cheers, Don
