    Just bought a Sigma 30mm 1.4

Haven't really put it through its paces yet, but so far so good. I got it on eBay for $370. and after 12% back from bing, it comes to about $320.

    Love the fast aperture.

Don't want that particular lens but would like to see you images and how did you get 12% from bing and does it work for other stuff.

Apparantly you can get as much as 14% now on certain stuff.

Just search what you want from there, for instance I searched 30mm 1.4 and an eBay link was a the top.
You need to have a windows live account too.

Hmmmm - 60mm f/1.4 sounds like it might make a swell portrait lens. It's a little short, but it should be good. Looking forward to seeing some photos!

60mm I'd think about but not 30mm, PJ.

Hey, Adorama and B&H are on there. Probably others but don't have time to keep looking right now.

Aren't you a Nikon shooter? I said 60mm because with the Four Thirds sensor, the 30mm focal length is effectively converted to 60mm. To clarify - you'd be interested in a 60mm converted to a 120mm f/1.4 or has the 30mm Sigma started to get more interesting?

    Sigma 30mm 1.4 - Featured User Review

It's funny that you posted this today, Atomic. Because first thing this morning I saw a new Sigma 30mm f/1.4 user review and decided it was going to be our next Featured User Review. Good timing

I have 55mm 1.4 from Sears [Ricoh] and a 58mm F2 from Zenit that are much better for that

Well, yes I am a Nikon man but that still only makes it a 45mm.

45mm is pretty close to 50mm, making it similar to human vision.

Indeed it is! I think its Franglais that just got a 35 for that very reason.
