    Decisions.
A while back I stated that an E620 would be desirable, also that I didn't need an E3, in thought, I think an E3 would be the better. As I keep my Olly gear for years, the E3 seems to be a better long term investment as for resale and wear and tear. Seems to me the E3 has a 'name' that will be respected maybe after the E620 has been improved on. I'm not a chaser of the latest thing, just want a down to earth product , the E300 has been a faithful old thing and so reliable , what do you think, E3 as a modern E300?. Lang

If I had the money, the E3 would be my choice. It may well hold it's value better, although I think that would hardly bother you. You'd be too busy taking photo's with it.

If you want longevity out of your camera, nothing can beat the E3. It really is built like a tank.

I'd rather have a camera that can take better pictures. And in my opinion, that camera is the E-620. I treat my gear pretty roughly and I'm not really worried about the E-620. Is the E-3 more sturdy? Sure. But does that mean the E-620 needs to be babied? Nope.

This is getting rather funny, E520 ? E620 ? E3??? every time I make my mind up I change it :).Ok, it's the E620 or the E3,hmmm..
Is it true that the old (E300) kit lens are supposed to be a little better than the new? I read that somewhere, can't place where, just stuck in my mind. Do you 'update' (I'm not technical) the lens as you do the camera body from the Olly web site?I never have ;).
    Ok, E3 or E620........E620 or E3. Damn,thinking..

I liked the 40-150 3.5-4.5 more than the newer 4-5.6

The 14-45 vs 14-42 is negligible picture difference. The newer is smaller and will focus a bit quicker.

Thanks Ato2, I had an offer for the old girl ( the E300) but want to keep the lens's (sic ?), can sell the body I think without too much fuss,John really likes the E620 and he has more knowledge in his little finger than I have overall when it comes to the decision. They way I look at it is I will keep the new body for say six years at least, that makes the cost now, reasonable over that time. That was to reason of thought on the E3.I wont wear out the camera, the E300 has 2,550 shutter counts, and I bought it when they first came to Aus..
