Any tips for E-520 low light shooting ??
My E-520 shoots very good pictures in Good light ( IMO ) sharp and clear
    with all lenses I have 14-42 40-150 and 70-300
    Sunny or light clouds ISO 100 or 200, F 8 to 10 , shutter 600 + = Nice shots.

Heavy overcast or in low light areas ( Trees )
    ISO 800 , F 4 to 7 ( approx values ) shutter 100 to 320. = Not to hot pictures
Some noise and Grainy . Sometimes too dark ( Exposure problem )

Use mainly for wild Life and Nature .
In low light I use flash if the object is close which really helps.
BUT after 5m away back to poor pictures
I prefer aperature priority adjusting according to light and conditions

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks very much in advance

Tripod, HG glass, + exposure comp, manual focus, off camera flash but most important be realistic.

It may appear there is enough light to shoot but your eyes "see" light differently than the camera :)

    Cheers, Don

Thanks for the tips Don and Greg.
    I don't expect National geographic quality with a $ 400.00 camera and a $ 300.00
    70-300 lense.

I think I will try a monopod for now. Much eaiser to carry when hiking.
These are my best in cloudy dark conditions. Most get the DELETE button
With the flower Evening in cloudy conditions and in shade
    ISO 800 F 8 Shutter 50. I was Leaning on a tree for stability
Forget Wild life at shutter 50

For the Owl, Cloudy in a treed areas in shade.ISO 800 F 7 Shutter 200
I was resting my elbows on a stand, The Owl is a little sharper on my home computet screen

A monopod seems to work for me.:D
Here is a Robin between 2 buildings near near sunset
    300mm ISO 800 F 8.0 Shutter 1/25

No way could I do that at 300mm shutter 1/25 before

ISO 800 works not that great on many cams. As far as I know, only pretty expensive cams can deliver the highest quality during low light conditions and in most cases you'll face much digital noise

Well, my first camera wasn't that great and my night and low-light shots were always noisy or just too dark. I decided to use a high-aperture lens but it wasn't enough. So, I just decided to take a DSLR which can handle high ISO shots. My dream is still Nikon D850 but it's too expensive for me. So, I bought a D750 instead. If you want to know more about the best low light camera then all information here. I bet you'll find this article useful.
