And another e-520 question ( setting compression )

Now I have another Question . I hope I am not being a pest.

How do you set up the jpg compression
I am stuck on pg 63 of the manual
I do not have LF " Large fine ". in my Options
My settings are
RAW
SF
LN
MN
SN
and all the raw stuff
I can get to the menu screen and on pg 63 "L Normal" is highlighted
in the manual
I cannot get to the compression screen as on pg 63 :mad2:

First thing I always check when I get a new camera is what firmware version it has and then look and see if it needs upgraded. The way I change the jepg setting on my E3, I think it is the same. Turn on the camera and hit the OK button. This brings up the menu. Then scroll down to the jpeg setting and turn the thumb wheel until I get it to the one I want and then hit ok again, but I will download the manual and see what is up. Ask as many questions as you like that is why we are here.

Maybe you've already figured this out. But the reason you can't set compression is there is no compression when you're shooting RAW. Compression is only available in JPEG mode. RAW is the uncompressed, unprocessed data right off the sensor. And that's how you should be shooting. It ensures the best possible image quality and maximum flexibility in post-processing.
