    2x tele. lens for E500 40-150mm
I'm very new at this so here goes! I've purchased this 2x for my 40-150 lens and when I zoom in on something the photo starts to get blurry. Any help? Also that is shooting in the sports mode on my camera.

    What kind of 2x ?
There are two types, either screw on the front of the lens, or mount on the camera behind the lens.

The screw on are not of the best quality. You are basically putting glass in front of glass. You would be better off with the one from Olympus that mounts behind the lens. It will slow your lens though and sports will be tough to shoot unless you are in excellant light.

They're usually pretty poor optical quality, and your experience is typical.
Its awkward to get ones that work on a zoom lens at all.

The far better, and of course more expensive, alternative is the teleconverter that fits behind the lens, on the body of the camera.

Which brand of 40-150 lens are you using?
They're built in different ways so it will matter, you may be able to use a converter with that lens, you may not.

The Olympus EC20 converter will work with Olympus lenses (naturally) but you can expect to pay around $500 from the adverts I've seen.

If you use a screw on accessory tele the weight will eventually wreck the AF drive system in the lens--get a teleconverter, or better still the 70-300.

I made the same mistake. I have since stashed the screw-on multiplier and ordered the 70-300.
