Chrome and Firefox

It came to my attention that if you’re using explorer than in Google page Chrome advertisement appears. But if you’re using Firefox, no advertisement. Is Google supporting Firefox and open source? If so, why have they developed Google Chrome?

Google is getting little support from the open source community.
Apart from trying to produce a competitor to Ubuntu, which is doing very well thank you.
They stand little chance competing with Apple, let alone Microsoft.
Plus it's aimed at the laptop market, which is 10x smaller than desktops.
Chrome as a browser sucks, Chrome on a Chrome OS seems an even better platform for gathering marketing data without you having any chance of blocking it.
The reason I use Firefox is the great add-ins, like NoScript with its blocking of the google apis that suck your personal surfing habits into marketing central.

That's a little premature, isn't it Paul.? It hasn't came out yet

I've also played with Chrome and didn't like it that much, but I'm a bit of a Firefox snob.. I dislike IE and see no point in all the other browsers, like Opera. But I'm curious what Google will do with an OS ... Let's see!!!
