What I'm doing...

I am trying to build up the will to get out of bed and go pay some bills. Not a whole lot of motivation there. Although I could get myself an icecream cone while I'm out, that's somehing on the plus side..

reading Gourmet magazine and listening to my new cd, which I love!

What I should be doing is laundry, since I have a giant mountain. On the plus side, it's too cold here to wear any of it, so it's not so urgent.

Procrastinating doing my presentation on deaf culture for this Friday and emailing the hot chick I was texting with the other day.

Wait, I'm beginning to sense a pattern here.

Just got daughter to bed after dance class. Son is working on a paper for English and I'm making excuses for not uploading 2 gigs worth of spandex. Deckcadet and I shot a bunch of dance class pictures and senior portraits and I forgot to bring home the hard drive to load them on to. Guess I'll do it in the AM. I need to study for my SCIUBA instructor test and veg out in front of CNN and watch the coverage on the VA tech shootings today. Being a teacher, I am always worried about intruder problems and our school policies on what to do. If there is an alert, we are supposed to lock doors, kill the lights and move the kids away from the windows, etc. I'm lucky that the walls of my studio/classroom are black, we only have two doors with small windows and have a big black curtain that blocks the view from the outside. I've decided that if someone did get past that, they will have one hell of a time getting past a pissed off, 6', 220 pound double black belt irishman/father. I refuse to go quietly into the night.

Trying not to picture Adina not wearing any laundry.

Oh wait...if I can find my tripod I could give you a visual...

Trying to come to terms with having my dog euthinized... I'm sure it's the right thing to do, but I'm having a hard time making that choice...

Having a glass of iced tea after having mowed the lawn and eaten lunch. Clearing out old photo files, and general computer 'housekeeping'.

Michael.....as painful as it is, you have to think of what's best for the dog. All of us pet owners have been there. The longer you wait, the more suffering the dog will go thru. A faithful friend doesn't deserve that.

Procrastinating finishing a 28 page paper and not texting, emailing, or thinking about any hot chicks this morning ;) Well, until now.

Mike, I don't know what your dog's situation is. My dad had to make the same decision once with a dog who was having hip problems. An old vet told him to start putting whiskey in his drinking water and it kept him going for another 6 months or so. During which time he was happy and very funny to watch ;) Best of luck with your decision man. It's not an easy one.

Michael, sorry to hear that you're in that situation. It's a very hard thing to do but you'll know when that day arrives. With an almost 13 year old diabetic it might not be that far off for me but for now everything is fine. Not fun to think about, but part of life.

I'm looking at light bulbs. Specifically dimmable compact fluorescents which keep getting better, and I need to get some for three very often used fixtures in our house. Saw a show called Kilowatt Ours on the documentary channel yesterday - happy Earth Day a day late...

eating my organic yogurt, just started the dishwasher, as soon as it's done I will be making cranberry oatmeal cookies, then cutting up some veggies for a big salad, which will be our veggies for the next few days.

Already went to Whole Foods, Target and Piggly Wiggly, so I don't have to leave my house until kickboxing at 7.

I just went through this with my cat, Georgie. I know it's rough, but sometimes you have to do what is right for them.

Eating taco soup and listening to my dog howl. There's a dog up the block egging her on, and she hasn't stopped for about an hour. Fortunately, just like my kids, I can tune her out.

Still baking cookies.

Procrastinating writing a speech thats due tomorrow for my basic communications class, that I don't have any where near enough done on, because well... I procrastinate. Thinking I might go find some food first though, that should waste a little more time before I actually absolutely have to get started on it.
