What are your MEM Day plans??

Not sure yet myself.. There's a Sierra Club camping trip to Kings Canyon, but I'm not sure I want the overhead. Might trot off to the eastern Sierras - the Mammoth Lakes area - and do some photography. Or even hit the desert for a few days ..

One day is a bike ride on one of the busiest roads in downtown Chicago, right along the lake. They close 15 miles of it down early in the morning once a year as a big fundraiser. That's a lot of driving and an early day for a 30 mile ride, but it should be really cool. Another day I'm leading a kayak trip. Looks to be a great weekend so far!

Spend the day at Great Lakes National Cemetery. I will be helping with getting veterans to their seats and helping out with setup and take down, as well as generally assisting the elder vets with whatever they need.

This is a highlight of my year. I get a chance to see and talk to veterans who defended our country at great risk to themselves.

It will be a wonderful day!

I've had so little time for photography this winter that, even though I don't have definite plans - one thing I know is that my camera(s) and I WILL be doing it together!

Today - having company - someone I haven't seen in a while. Then out with my camera.

Sunday - Carnegie Hall for a student award concert. My friend's granddaughter won an aware to play at Carnegie Hall tomorrow. She is a very talented pianist.

Monday - NYC - Fleetweek!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :7: :23: :biggrin5:
