    I would definitely recommend a 45 degree angle, any more than that can start to get a little disorientating.

    This obviously depends on whether you’ll have a way of adjustment or a fixed angle, and whether or not the chair is high backed or not.

    For lounging, reading, enjoying the view, or conversation... 45 or more would be nice. 120 might be a bit low?? I would also design it so that the flat part is long enough for someone to scooch down and lay flat, say 6'.
