    Super Split....
The unthinkable has happened......Civil War in Indiana!

For the next two weeks parts of Indiana will battle over who is going to win the Super Bowl as the Colts and Bears will face off in Miami.
One town up North is literaly split fan base wise between the two teams, others tend to favor one team or the other and it will all make for an interesting couple of weeks, and gameday will a really special day in this state.

    GO COLTS!!!!

    GO BEARS!

Not that I'm a huge Bears fan, but the whole story around it is much better. 21 years since they've been there, Lovie Smith would be the first African American head coach to win the Super Bowl. Does the good Rex Grossman or the bad Rex Grossman show up....

Plus they play outside. I love a snowy football game. Not that it will be snowing in Miami, but it snowed yesterday when the played. I love that.

I guess this means I can't watch ESPN for the next two weeks. All I'll hear about is how Peyton Manning is going to get his ring and become the best quarterback of all time and how the Bears Defense, which stopped the Saints, won't be able to stop the Colts.

    Stupid analysts.

Last time I checked, Chicago was in Illinois... :D

But I know what you're talking about. Much of Indiana lies within or near the Chicago metropolitan area, so I'd imagine it's only natural there'd be plenty of Bears fans just across the state line.

Should be a good game. Think I'm pulling for the Colts, too...

True enough. On the other hand, it's been thirty-five years since the Colts have played in a Super Bowl, and Tony Dungy would be the first black head coach to win as well, should the Colts prevail... :ihih:

LOL, well the news just had a segment on the Colts vs Bears split here in Indiana. Oddly enough the split appears to be in the town of Battleground, In. and it appears the North side of highway 225 has more Bears fans and the South has more Colts fans....the line has been drawn!

Well no matter what, we'll see the first black head coach to win a Super Bowl, I'm just glad it will Dungey and the Colts :D because as MASDOG already pointed out the Bears "D" can't stop the Colts....the ravens with the leagues #1 "D" found that out already...:D
And poor Rex is flakier than the Colts "D" .....as shown Sunday they show up when they want to, and the first half they were non-existant....but that second half they were kicken butt and taken names.

BTW, the Colts haven't been to the Super Bowl since they were in Baltimore, Indy has waited for this for 24 years....

    GO COLTS!

Didn't watch the Colts game yesterday so I didn't get all that trivia.

Saw the last 10 minutes of the Bears game yesterday, so I got all the "if the Bears win" stuff.

But I'm still pulling for the Bears. Real football is played outside. :)

Nope, I was at home watching on TV. I could have gone but didn't want to deal with all the traffic and other hassels, like $20 for parking. They have very little media parking and the TV stations take it all up.

One thing about being at a Colts home game....it's like being at the 500 or 400 for three hours it's so loud in that place. The new stadium will be worse with 20,000 more people in it.

I never liked the Bears....I grew up in Viking country, and will always be a Vikings fans first, Colts second.

BTW Adina, the new Colts stadium will have a roof that opens and closes, one of the points that league likes and could land a Super Bowl in Indy....
