    business card pictures

hello everyone i am new to this. The question i have is that a couple of pictures have been circulated over the internet and i would like to put them on a business card. they are cartoon cars.how do i go about this.

can it go on the card anyway?
    can i get sued?
is there a way of finding the rightful owner somehow?

    Answers to your questions:

    Not legally
Yes, you can; it's a violation of Copyright
    Possibly

But the bottom line is this: why would you want someone else's work on YOUR business card? That's almost false advertising. I don't mean to be rude but I don't think that's a good idea in any respect, legally or otherwise.

If you're going to do a business card, why not put your own work on it? That's the whole point of the card anyway - to advertise YOU! Find a shot that you really like or that lots of other people seem to like and use that.

    Re: business card pictures

Oh, sorry, this being a photography forum I just assumed you were a photographer doing photography business cards.

I assume you want to do something like clipart then. Just find a site that sells those images. There are a lot of them and it should be very cheap (maybe $1 for an image or something like that). That way, you'll have the image legally.
