If you look directly to the right of the video on youtube, theres a box that says 'embed', if you copy that and paste into your box, you can post the video here, like this:

That said, McCains temper is the least of my worries if he were to become President.

You know Palin actually makes him look brilliant. I think the appearance of senility is probably his contained frustration with the crappy direction Palin took his campaign in.

Do they really actually 'guide' the ship anyway? I guess it depends on your perspective of how the government actually works. It's seems to be changing to more of a socialist state than a republic imo.

Ah, that must be a new thing, it used to detail 'politics and religion'. I think this thread meets the statutes of limitations though, they made the rule after the thread was made. ;)....

Guys enjoy this its our last political thread!

Re: Is this man worthy to guide the ship of state?

Is that really necessary? I don't care for the long-winded rants of some people any more than the next guy, but c'mon- Off Topic is Off Topic.

I'm not condoning or defending anyone's actions here, and I think it's fair to say that I have avoid these discussions- though I find them interesting and intriguing to read. One of the things I personally like about this site (not just OT, but the whole site) is that EVERYONE'S opinion is welcome. I find it disheartening, and even discouraging, to hear that that may be changing.

If we're going to start censoring the content of the threads, then I submit that we change the name of this sub-forum to something along the lines of "Regulated and Approved Discussions of Other Topics." Talk about anything you want, as long as it's OK with us.

Does no one else see the irony here?

Re: Is this man worthy to guide the ship of state?

Well, I for one think a forum could use some heated discussion and argument here and there, but I understand that the moderators and owner of the site don't want things getting out of hand, recalling the last several religious/political threads, we were pretty much riding that line. I was one of those 'riding the lines' too, so I share some responsibility here (sorry to ruin it for you guys). My personal opinion is that nothing is off-limits, but should not get to the point of being abusive. But, this isn't my forums, so the rules made here I will respect.

I believe the fear is that the hot feelings will bleed over into the actual photo threads and make them less objective and polite.

Re: Is this man worthy to guide the ship of state?

Here's the thing guys. If we could all act like grownups and keep things civil, there wouldn't need to be any guidelines. But since some of us have recently shown that we act like a bunch of two year olds and call names when someone disagrees with us, some guidelines have to be enforced.

Recently, there have been some heated threads, and even after repeated reminders by the mods that personal attacks would not be tolerated, they continued.

It has nothing to do with whether or not the topic is okay with us. It has everything to do with people getting personal and offending contributing members to the point that they ask for thier account to be deleted.
    I sleep, but I don't rest.
