This is a poem...

That I wrote some years ago. Just thought I'd share it for gits and shiggles.

Any thoughts?

Richard Young died last night.


Richard Young died last night.
Poor Richard he died a lonely death all curled up on his couch.
A half empty bud in his hand.
He tried so hard to lead a good life,
but here in the end he found that life was not all it was cracked up
to be.
Poor Richard Young died last night.
His heart gave out.
It was a losing fight.
His poor soul turned tail and took flight.
Now he will be given his final rights,
but do you think you shall remember Richard?
I think not.

Interesting poem. Before my English 12 course, I hated poetry, now I have somewhat of an appreciaton for it. Your poem is definately interesting, and I'm wondering what kind of inspiration or reason you wrote this poem.
