First I thought it was the same spammer back as last time.
Re: Photography without a camera
A scanner is a digital camera. Whats the biggie?
Re: Photography without a camera
Wait... what? So there's still a camera involved though right? I may need to re-read this ;)

Re: Photography without a camera
I did photography with a flatbed scanner years ago (pre-digital camera era!). It works out well and the depth of field was large. Example attached.

No camera used at all. I used a flatbed scanner, the house plant arranged over the scan glass, to take the original picture.

Personally, I think that linked site is spam. Maybe it was unintentional by the OP, but aside from the "tutorial" (which really is just common sense), in between every few pics and lines is a link to a sales page. To me, the whole thing is just a thinly-veiled ad...
BTW, if the mods agree this thread is cool, they should at least move it. It's about photography, and not OT...
Re: Photography without a camera
Excellent photos without camera and the quality is also good. A scanner is also a camera.
Re: Photography without a camera
When I saw my first "scanner photography" I thought there must be a trick ... no trick.
This image became a cover for a Home & Garden insert in the Tampa Tribune:
(new at posting, hope this works)
It didn't , so will try again.............
