    photography is not illegal

If only the police knew what they should be doing !

'It should be emphasised that photography of the police by the media or amateurs remains as legitimate as before, unless the photograph is likely to be of use to a terrorist. This is a high bar. It is inexcusable for police officers ever to use this provision to interfere with the rights of individuals to take photographs.'

Government ministers seem to know what they intended when the law was drafted, which isn't how the police are using it.

'counter-terrorism laws are not designed nor intended to stop people taking photographs and the Home Office is working towards providing futher clarification both for the public and those involved in its enforcement.'

And it's been done at the usual speed of adminisration, rather slower than the average snail.

    Re: photography is not illegal

I'm wondering why it seems to be a bigger problem there than on this side of the pond.
Bad enough here though I've never had any problem.

Maybe because it's not being reported.
Doesn't the patriot act give similar powers?

Yeah but I'm just not hearing so much about it here though we have had some reports.
I almost wish it would happen so I could raise a ruckus and get my blood going.
