No US Student Loans for Evolution Study!
Evolution Major Vanishes From Approved Federal List

"Evolutionary biology has vanished from the list of acceptable fields of study for recipients of a federal education grant for low-income college students.

"If a major is not on the list, students in that major cannot get grants unless they declare another major, said Barmak Nassirian, associate executive director of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. Mr. Nassirian said students seeking the grants went first to their college registrar, who determined whether they were full-time students majoring in an eligible field.

“If a field is missing, that student would not even get into the process,” he said. "

The government says it's an unfortunate clerical error but the "mistake" still hasn't been fixed. The march of ideology over intelligence continues at the Bush administration.

    Long live the Theocracy!

That's just great. Pretty soon we'll have the Pledge of Allegiance and compulsory prayer before we start work in the morning. Awesome!

you can't prove anything, but you also can't disprove evolution. you can study it, come up with a theory and predict what will happen (aka science). unlike any religion (aka theology).

just realized you mean watch evolution happen. but it doesn't matter we can see evolution happen in our life time and people still don't believe it.

You're telling me that one day, somewhere back in time, an organism suddenly happened to mutate a couple of organs that were by chance attuned to a certain band of electromagnetic radiation, thereby giving us sight? How bizarre! :D

Evolution is silly. Anyone who is intelligent knows that a big daddy in the sky waved his (ah, gender for a god!) magic wand and created everything 6500 years ago.

Now we're talking! Except God is a woman and she waved her magic wand, creating antelopes and butterflies, and leaving cosmic radiation and fossils in the dirt to confuse us
