Landis No Longer Tour Champ

"Floyd Landis was fired by his team and the Tour de France no longer considered him its champion Saturday after his second doping sample tested positive for higher-than-allowable levels of testosterone.

"The samples contained synthetic testosterone, indicating that it came from an outside source."

Oh well, yet another athlete cut down by drug use and the lies to cover it up. Too bad this sort of thing has to happen. No, I won't bring up that wild drug/no-drug subject again!

Well, he won't officially be stripped of his title until his US Cycling and ICU hearings are completed and the appeals process played out. That could take up to six months.

But yeah, IMO it's a done deal. I'm ready to move on...
