Tour de Yawn... I Mean France

So, has anyone even looked into the Tour de France this year? How many know its been running for 4 days? What a sleeper. See, doping really does liven things up!

I knew it was going on, but I have never been a cycling fan. I did hear Landis on NPR's Talk Of The Nation this afternoon. I haven't noticed this site slowing down yet. Usually during the Tour, the MTB site gets hit pretty hard, and it slows PR down.

I have been causually watching it online,, nothing like I have in past years.
The sport is just too marred with scandal and all of the other drug related crap.
And there are only six USA riders this year, the fewest I can recall in sometime.
I can tell you who won today's stage if you like...

The tour leader was kicked out of the race, if anyone still cares...

I've been watching it off & on this year, too much doping going on. One of the things I do like about the tour though is it inspires me to get on my bike (no doping involved for me!) and it inspires me to go photograph cycling.

Talking Re: Tour de Yawn... I Mean France

With all of the BS that has transpired the past few days I hereby declare I am done with le Tour!
I know cycling and Le Tour do significantly more than just about every other sport to stop performance enhancing drugs, etc, but this year really took the cake.
It will take a scandal free Tour, a team entirely made up of US riders and a US rider on the other 20 teams for me to really get into it again.
OK maybe not that last part, but I can dream!

    Tour de Drugs

They just can't get rid of the problem, can they?
    Their anti-doping measures don't work.
Few will believe the remaining teams/riders are clean - just not caught yet.
A great shame because the majority are, I think, good sportsmen.
