Reviews aside, anyone that isn't scared sh#tless over what we're doing to the atmosphere needs to...well, see this film.

No, I haven't yet, and I'm no Chicken Little, either. But I've read enough to know that we're running out of time to get this thing turned around... :nonod:

We saw it yesterday. Needless to say, a very well executed film and a very important film for everyone to see. Gore demonstrates just how important it is to reverse our creation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. He has all his figures lined up, with charts and graphs to demonstrate every point. The movie is interlaced with stories from his own life, and how events in his life shaped his passoin for environmental protection. Overall, a very effective film. Though I wish it wasn't given by a politician. A little more *heart* would have given this film the kick that it needed. I recommend EVERYONE see this, as it really spells out right in front of you how critical it is we start driving more efficient cars, using more efficient appliances, insulating our homes well, riding bikes when we can, etc. Gore does a good job of refuting his main critics claims that "the earth's temperature goes through cycles."

Very good research, very good preentation. Go see it!

Here's the theatre schedule, but at the moment most of these dates have passed. Crap, it was right near my house a week and a half ago and I didn't hear anything about it from local media.

I'm guessing that most of the people seeing this movie are along the lines of "preaching to the choir". Probably not a lot of Hummers in the parking lot, you know?

Actually, we saw it in Scottsdale so there was an H2 and an Excursion sitting in the parking lot :D

Though, they might have been shopping at the Macy's next door...

Anyway, yeah this one's not getting very much press coverage. I heard about it before it came out but then it fell off the radar - it had been out for a month before I realized they had realeased it. Still, I read that it has managed to take in $7 million....

Good luck chasing it down Steve.
