    >> The South Bend Marriott is building a new pub -- and this won’t be just any bar. “Sean O’Casey’s” is an authentic Irish pub that will be built in Ireland and shipped to South Bend <<

Looks like you're getting an American designer's idea of an Irish pub, but without the sawdust probably, built in Ireland to make it 'authentic' and assembled over there.

Like the O'Neills, Rosie O'Grady's and countless other chains of 'Irish' pubs we've got over here.
Built to a formula, painted to corporate colour schemes, and as Irish as haggis in my opinion.

Wow, that must cost a fortune. Do you really think inebriated males will know whether a bar is built in Ireland or not in their nights of drunkedness?

    Nah, I don't think so:p

Only if you are an authentic Scotsman or Irishman. My grandfather and family are from Galway and I swear he knew every Irishman up and down the east coast of Florida. He could smell the fake places and would never step foot into them.

    Thinking... Roadtrip!

It will be interesting to see if it's really "authentic" or if it's what we're guessing it will be. Just research, and I'll be glad to do it. :D

There is one of those in Atlanta that I have been to once. It is called Fado's and they are thinking of building more in the Atlanta area. I think it is an interesting idea, but possibly cost prohibitive. Give me a Guinness and I'm happy whether its in a irish pub, or from my own frig...

Looks like a Harps...made by Guinness at least...looks like he is also wearing the Army Tartan, or its the McLeod Clan Tartan...hard to tell. I should be getting a kilt in the next few months, they are quite possibly the most comfortable thing in the world to wear.
