I don't pay enough attention to my laptop

My friend and I recently got into a conversation about unnecessary files, temporary files, and cache that should be deleted. We also talked about how there’s always a lack of free space on a Mac, and the laptop starts running slower. Turns out my friend has tons of apps and tools to delete this, delete that, find unnecessary files, and locate duplicate files. I was honestly shocked. The most I’ve ever done was move a file to the trash and then delete it from there.

You know, I think the vast majority of device users do exactly the same. I’ve never had any additional solutions for removing files, and I’ve never had any problems. Are you sure this is something worth doing, and does it really affect how the laptop performs?
