    free rice
This was on our local news the other night and its an easy way to donate to help reduce world hunger. I figured I'd give it a try and found out I know the meaning of words I never or seldom use.
A word is presented with multiple choice answers. Every time you get it correct 20 grains of rice are donated. Doesn't sound like much but it takes only a few minutes to donate one or two thousand grains and the payback has been significant with the number of people accessing the site. Its being promoted in schools to help build vocabulary and has built mine. Who knew that a howdah was a seat on an elephant?

Yup, this site has been around for a little while now. I saw it featured on the news a few months ago, and it was just on another national new cast last week.

It is donated by the sponsors whose ads you'll see at the bottom.
I just make it a point to go open it a few times a day and it doesn't take long to donate a thousand grains or more.
