Fame - not fortune

Hamilton's excitement was shared by many, including Angela Maskens, a Silverstone member whose devotion to the young man's cause reinforced the feeling that a bona fide British sporting icon is soon to be upon us.
Maskens booked three days holiday from her post as check out assistant at Iceland in Headington in the hope of acquiring an autograph. "I thought I'd better get in now. You won't be able to get near him soon" she said.


No photo of Angie getting Lewis Hamilton's autograph (on one of my photos naturally) but you can't have everything !

So she got the photo signed?

Oh yes, two from last year - the support race for the DTM season final at Hockenheimring.
One of his car on the grid starting from first place, the other of him spraying the champagne from the top step of the podium after the race.
Not one sharp image form during the race though :(
But one, as planned, at the end ...
