    Bees in my kitchen

Yup, they used to be outside, but apparently the roofers disturbed them with a large can of bee killer, and since I have no drywall, they've decided to come into my kitchen. Fortunately, the French doors in the dining room can be closed as a bee barrier.

Dh has killed about a dozen in there so far. I just holler about it. I'm the bee warner, he's the bee killer.

not sure if this would work, but theoretically it makes sense.

Basically for work this summer they used insect traps of water with alittle soap in it to break the surface tension so the insects would fall in and drownd. maybe if you put somethign sweet that would attract the bees, like sugar in the water it would attract them and kill them with out much danger to you or your family. would be woth a try for jsut some sugar water, soap ( like liquid soap not bar soap) , and a dirty dish.

Ah, poor Adina. Now you're dripping bees instead of water. The saga continues.

We have a spare bedroom if it gets any worse.

    pain in my heart...

Sorry, couldn't help but see your subject and think of Tears on my Pillow...

A couple of times a year (usually after the first few summer rains) we get large crawling and flying ants that think they have personal invitation to our family room (which also happens to be my studio/office).

It's not exactly an infestation, but enough of them make their presence that it's a pain, especially the flying ants as it's real hard to tell where they're coming in from.

So, we spray a handful of times, and at some point they go back to their outside 'trade routes'...

    Re: Bees in my kitchen

Rick, I'll hop on my bike first thing in the morning. Should be there in a few months.

The roofers had to call it a day due to rain. Photo of how they left the house to follow...

On the plus side, it's such a nice bunch of guys out here doing it. If they were crab asses, I'd have to complain.

    Rock on! Blinky lights too!

They were back on Sunday to finish, only to find out they were about 8 bundles of shingles shy of a completely roofed house.

Ah yes, the story of my life...

Don't forget to put racing stripes, a carpet dashboard cover and loud exhaust on it.

    So did they finish today?
