Car heating and AC system: what can go wrong and how to keep it working properly?
Hey guys, my car’s AC stopped cooling properly this summer, and now with colder weather coming, I’m nervous the heater might be next. I replaced the cabin filter myself, but it didn’t help much. What are the most common reasons the air system starts acting up? Is it usually something simple or a sign of a bigger issue?

I had the same problem last year — no cool air and later weak heating. A Professional mechanic from an auto repair in Bristol PA checked the system and found a small refrigerant leak plus a clogged vent actuator. They fixed it quickly, and the difference was huge. Regular AC and heater maintenance really helps avoid sudden failures, especially before the seasons change. Now I always get it checked twice a year.

This is a great reminder! I tend to forget about the AC system until it stops working. I guess it’s smart to do preventive maintenance instead of waiting for it to fail, especially before long road trips.
