    "don't judge a book by it's movie"

    favorite book to movies?

Bridget Jones, the first one. Book was good, movie was good.
Sex and the City...not a movie...okay, it was eventually...but the series kept in line with the book.
Lord of the Rings. this one I saw the first movie before I read the books. I think they did a really good job turning the books into 10+ hours of film.

Worst? The Series of Unfortunate Events, Aragon (according to my 10 yr old), the second Bridget Jones movie.

All I can think of right now...

It's easier to list the 'flop' movies that follow good books (a few immediately come to mind, like Jurassic Park iRobot, etc). I guess it's really hard for a movie to be as good as the book, probably because all the subtleties, descriptions of what the characters are thinking, etc are lost. Some translate better than others, though.

    I haven't seen one yet.
The worst of all was Dune.

Frog, dh thought the same thing about Dune. He's not a big reader, but those he's read, and was really looking forward to the movie. massive disappointment.
