No, fog lights - the really intense ones that should mounted close to the road and carefully aimed. They light the road underneath the fog and can work really well. But they have to be aimed correctly and really only help in the fog. If they're aimed up because either they moved or someone didn't take time to aim them, then it's like shining a search light into your pupils. If they mount them up high, they're a dork.

yeah Frog, take your forum/photography complaints somewhere else!

Here's my new one...doom and gloom predictors. For example "You let you're kids out to play in the yard when you are not sitting out there? What if someone snatches them?"

Okay yes, it isn't unheard of from kids to get snatched from thier yard. But if I spent all my time worrying about what could happen, not only would I make my kids paranoid as well, but they'd never leave the house.

And it's not like I just ignore them, or leave while they are out there. But they know where they can be, and all the neighbors know who they belong to, so yeah, they can play behind our house without me sitting out there with them.

That's a good one! I especially like it when they do that, and I'm behind them on my motorcycle. :mad2:

I once saw a state trooper throw his but out the window, at a gas station...

Bad lattes. I got my coffee yesterday when I met a friend for lunch, and the shop I was at made it so sweet it made me cringe.

I would not have any trouble throwing Paris' butt out the window (not before I took a quick grab shot - with my camera of course!)

That's why you're supposed to get black coffee or an americano (black)

Hard to mess that up, unless it's from starbucks

Hey, my other pet peeve is starbucks, nasty coffee at an obscene price, in a shop full of cell phone yakkin yuppies, brainwashing the country into putting the independent coffee shops out of business.

My own inability to excercise patience when it comes to setting up, executing, and processing my photos. I'd love to learn to slow down and combine all the elements everyone here has imparted upon me. For once, I'd like to think ahead, take my time, study all the angles, consider the surroundings and actually produce a shot that will be worthy of posting. I'd like to have more hits than misses. I guess you could say my pet peeve is ME!

    Rude boaters!

Had a big power cruiser that was not on plane. He was going near full throttle and making a big wake. He used our small sailboats as a slolom course. When we hailed him on the radio for a little curtousy he hailed back "You guys are nuttin' but in the way!".

I don't ever wanna be that rich if it will make me that rude!

I used to hate that when I was racing small sailboats. A lot of races were in light air (low wind) conditions and you'd pick up time just by being lucky enough to have them stay away from you. A 600lb boat that's just barely moving doesn't have much momentum. The lake I raced on was far too small for the number of 40' boats that were out, and most of them just under planing speed.

Now that I'm a sea kayaker, I go looking or stuff like that... So along those lines, a pet peeve is people who think that it's dangerous or "extreme" and hear about the stories of idiots that put themselves in dangerous situations and need to be rescued - and assume that's how all paddlers are.

I drive with my driving lites on! I am blind you've all seen my photos :-)
I grind my own coffee and make it myself, I don't drink coffee made by others.
I grind my own pepper, it's easier to make the adjustments to the grinder than explain how to do it. Those are my comments to what has been posted so far:-)
My pet peeve is the toilet paper has to come over the top! and that is easy to fix!
Flame me if you wish I do have a fire suit, 2 as a matter of fact:-)

I totally agree about the toilet paper!

I do try to avoid Starbucks, but on the plus side, they are consistant, mostly tastes the same at any Starbucks.

btw, my horrible latte was at a local coffee shop. I've got a list of them I avoid like the plauge.

I don't stop for coffee very often but I do drink a few gallons daily (just plain black coffee)... There is a new local place that I finally got around to trying and it wasn't that good. If I'm going to stop somewhere for something I do a fairly decent job of at home, it should be pretty good - well, it wasn't.

One of the best cups I've had in awhile was a small local place on Washington Island in Wisconsin's Door County. On an small island that's a 1/2 hour ferry ride to the mainland you have a pretty captive audience and I didn't expect it to be so good (didn't really have to be, I figured) but I was wrong.

    blah blah blah....

It drives me nuts to hear people trying to explain something, or telling a story and in the the middle they say blah blah blah, and then get to their point. If you want to skip the details, fine, just get to the point without the blah blah blah crap. Who started that anyway?

I say blahdy blahdy blahdy. Usually when talking to my mom. And I mostly use it when I'm telling her about conversations with someone else as a substitute for thier various complaints. All of which we have both heard a bazillion times.

BUT, I don't throw butts out the window.
