Anyone else seen 'Taken' yet?

Well, I went to see the new Liam Neeson, uh "vehicle", Taken today in the theater. It's the first film I've gone out to see in a long time, primarily because the trailer looked so good, and it's being compared to the Bourne movies, which I am absolutely hooked on...

Anyway, without giving away any of the plot, I was kinda disappointed. Yeah, there was plenty of action, and sure, Neeson's character is way cool, but IMO it wasn't even close to how much fun and how well done the Bourne movies are, especially story-wise.

Anyone else see it yet???

I saw it and thought it was a very good movie. I would not compare it to the Bourne movies because it is so different. I did love the action. It was fast paced and well shot, but just different from the Bourne ones (which I love as well).

The story makes you think though. Would I do that if...?????

I thought it was rubbish... Not really a great liam neeson film in my opinion. His daughter is good looking though :-0

Not to dwell on the Bourne comparison, but I had to see those films many times before I started picking at flaws in the plot and action. During this movie, I found myself shaking my head a lot because the turn of events was such a stretch. Also, the fact that no police seemed to notice much of his, er...activities seemed a little odd.

Plus, he plowed through all the "bad guys" in an almost Death Wish fashion. I would have liked a more complicated or thought out story...

Nope, but we just went and saw Coraline. Was good, but a little creepier than I had anticipated...

No, at first I am quite interested in it, but later I'd heard bad reviews for it, others just told me it is not worth watching.
