Post What posts to read first?

Hi there, I registered at this site this week.

Forgive me for being lazy, but I wanted to ask if anyone could point me to any particularly good posts that I should take a look at first, so I can get involved here?

    Thank you, Michael

Welcome to the best photography forum on the web. There are TONS of great threads to check out on this site. If you have a specific topic, or question, use the search function in the green bar at the top of this post. There is a good chance that your question has been discussed before. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you can't find what you're looking for.

A lot of the forums have some threads stickied that explain more about that forum. Those would be a good place to start.

Be sure to check out Ricks Welcome thread in the Viewfinder Forum. Here is a link to that thread.

    Uh, yeah. Definitely lazy... :)

Welcome Michael. The other Michael gave you the perfect answer, so at this point, I can't think of anything to add...

Without knowing your interests at all, asking us to recommend threads is like going into a huge library and asking what books are good.

Looking around and seeing what's out there is the fun part of browsing any web site. At least I think so...

Just do a search for my name. Anything I post is probably a must-read.

If you're looking to get aquainted, the Viewfinder is probably the best forum to start in. Just click on anything that looks interesting.

Hmmm, if your posts are considered "must read", then mine should elevated to the status of literature...:yesnod:

BTW, I was thinking (quite unusual for a Friday), and it occurred to me that your dog's "little fat" head is so small you could probably make a hat out of real cheese.

    Wouldn't that be fun???..

yeah, except she's eat it and poop all over the house. Come to think of it, she'd probably eat the foam cheese as well. Right now one of her favorite foods is rocks and pinecones.

Cool. Isn't that a Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor?

BTW, Michael, this is called hijacking a thread. Get used to it... :cornut:

    What Michael said.

    If Adina's posts are must-reads,
    And Asylum Steve's are literature,
Then my welcome thread is the Word of God Incarnate on the Earth. Chew on that

Rainforest Crunch. Used to be my favorite, but they discontinued it due to unsanitary nut packaging conditions. Apparently people were finding glass and rocks and stuff in the ice creams.

It was good though, if you ate around those things....

Welcome to the asylum (to further hijack Steve), As I tell all my students, you've just joined a very fine group of highly gifted weirdos. I should know, I am the poster child. If Adina's are must reads and Steve's are literature, that would make my posts SPAM or junk mail, maybe a comic book.

    Enjoy the diversity and weirdness.
