I was so bummed about the Cubs! I was hoping that the Sox would face the Yankees for the Championship and then face the Cubs for the World Series You think Colorado will make it? I'm leaning towards it being a Red Sox vs. Diamond Backs World Series

Cleveland is on a huge run - going to be a good series cleveland vs sox

Colorado is on an unbelievable streak - i think they have lost like 1 out of their last 16 games or something like that ..... hard to stop that momentum

I think the D-backs just met the cubs as they went into a slump .... nice to see Soriano have a post season like A-rod ... I guess being productive in the post season wasn't in either of their contracts ?????????? HAHAHAHAHA

Well, Francona is definitely on the hot seat tonight. He seems set on going with Wakefield, even though Beckett has a track record of coming through big-time on three days rest (complete game shutout in game 6 of 2003 Series to help my Marlins beat, er my Yanks).

Guess we'll see. If Wakefield gets pounded, or simply loses, there's going to be a lot of second guessing...

problem with wakefield is either he dominates or he gets pounded early .... as I said though you can't pitch beckett every night - If he pitches beckett tonight then who pitches the next game ????? have to get production out of the other pitchers and the bats need to come alive -

I think with the explosion the other night in extra innings gave cleveland the momentum to finish the sox .....

Exactly! There's no "decent" game with him. He is either unhitable or it's a free for all batting practice Personally, I think Francona should put in Buchholz. I know he's inexperienced but, given his last outting, would rather take a chance on him than on Wakefield.

Oh well, at least we'll still finish ahead of the damn Yankees

Wasn't quite the ending to the ALCS that I or probably anyone else expected. Now I look to see the Sox finish off colorado quickly - last time boston took this kind of streak to the world series they finished off St. Louis in 4 ..... Beckett was unbelievable in game 1 !!! They got what they needed from Schilling - Hope to see Dice K. do well in colorado - Was really hoping to get to see Wakefield in game 4 .... maybe Beckett will get win #4 in game 5 ?????????????

I don't know about Wakefield. I've just about lost all confidence in him. Right now it's looking like either Lester or Beckett for game 4. I would say if Sox win tomorrow, I would expect Lester but, if Colorado wins they will probably go with Beckett. Don't forget your free taco on Tuesday...LOL

wakefield usually does well - they just leave him in that 1 inning too long - usually fun to watch.

I will be suprised if they throw beckett for game 4 -
