Spam Message

I just received the following message from "Patricia2"

"Hey,
I'm new here, how's it going?

How can I avoid getting these type messages? They are a waste of my time and not why I joined this forum. Thanks in advance for your help.

Was this a PM message? I'm looking into it. There's no way for you to really avoid them - ocassionally a spammer targets the PM system. But as soon as I find out about it I delete the messages and ban the account.

Ok, thanks. I had to make sure it had a link and was actually spam before I took action. That account has now been banned and all of the PMs they sent have been deleted

Thanks a lot for letting me know about the spam. Unless I actually get spammed, PM spam is invisible to me so I rely on members letting me know.
