Not sure if this question will solicit any feedback here, but we'll try

Tell us why it is your most favorite Nikon camera.

Really difficult to choose between the D800 and the D7200.

    - the D800 is solidity, quality. It's serious.
    - the D7200 is lightweight, speed, simplicity, facility, compactness. Its more fun

My favourite has to be the D800 because the results are consistently better. The D7200 has a load of useful new features notably in focussing, but that's not enough to sway the choice

Not buying any more gear this year. I hope

I've loved my D7100 which has been a big upgrade from the D90, but want to put in a plug for the P7800. I do a lot of business travel with little or no time to get out and shoot, but having the P7800 in my pocket gives me great shots and also full control and decent high ISO performance. Here's a sample from a quick to the town of Sintra outside Lisbon:

Great photos Steve, well done. My wife still uses her P7100 which also produce great sharp pics.

On a site note, I hope that some of the visitors that come here will sign up to become new members.

Thanks! Previously had a P7100. It survived a couple of minutes of immersion in a river but not getting dropped in a sand dune. Something about retractable lens mechanism that sand doesn't agree with.

Agree on visitors signing up, would be nice to get something going here again.

Re: What is your most favorite Nikon camera ?

    Hi,

I checked this forgotten forum today as I had a moment to spare

I have owned and used the D40 D300 D800 and V1, the first 2 were sold, and I still have the last 2.

I have also tried the D200, D80, D700, D600, D750, DF, the only I do not like is the DF due to change in the ergonomics.

V1 is fun, but i need to be in the mood to have the patience to work with it, if i'm in a rush I only get frustrated with it.

My favorite is still the D800, versatile, impressive IQ, very flexible raw files, responsive, accurate and fast AF, only wish the camera had a silent shooter option

    Take care

Right now my favorite Nikon is the D750.For me the 24 MP sensor is the perfect size although I would like to try the D810

Thanks, have to say it's like pulling teeth.
I was ready to make the switch to FX, sold my DX camera and lenses, which I regretted almost instantly, because I really did not want to increase the carrying load, and settled on the D7200 c/w the great 16-80 lens. Very happy with both.
