    Go Big, Or Go Home

I finally got one. the AF-S 70-200 f/2.8 lens. And above is my camera in all it's glory.

D300, MB-D10 Grip, SB-800 with Lighsphere, and the Lens.

Going for the AF-S 17-55 f/2.8 in July.

    Not very discreet

That's nice but would you use the Lightsphere with the 70-200? I don't have one.

I see no reason to use the lightsphere with that lens.

Guy's, jeez, read the thread title. The lightsphere just fits the theme, KWIM.

Once you've got 178-55 and 70-200 covered with constant f/2.8 lenses, you're pretty much set.
Until you want to shoot the length of the field and pick out a player.
Then you start thinking about f/2.8 or f/4 primes and a pack mule (or assistant|) to carry them.

Congratulations it is a great lens.
    Just curious why a 17 55 2.8 instead of 24 70 2.8 ??

The Lightsphere - actually it worked really well for doing headshots of the IT staff here at work.

    Yes, I love the lens.

Why the 17-55? because I don't have any plans to go for a full frame dSLR in the next two years, so I'll stick to DX stuff.

I have a pile of nice fast primes already, it was my zooms that were lacking.
