Nikon D80 screen menu help
Is there any way to get the information that shows up on the screen that is on top of the camera to show up on the LCD screen so it will be bigger where I can read it easier? Jeff
Re: Nikon D80 screen menu help
I'm starting to get used to my (new to me) D200 which is a pretty similar camera and I don't think it's possible - at least on mine. It always seemed like on the F5 and F100 that it had a little more contrast when looking at it not exactly perpendicularly (if that's a word). In other words it was harder to see from right above than slightly behind it as you would look at it if you were shooting and then lowered the camera from your eye and glanced down on it (slightly from behind). It doesn't seem to make much difference on my D200 having just tried it inside, but might outside in sunlight. Worth a try, I suppose...
Re: Nikon D80 screen menu help
I assume you know to turn the on/off switch one click past on to get the backlight which helps.
I have a bit of trouble with it sometimes too. Especially that self timer button icon.
No way to do it but would be nice for sure.

No I did not know about the back-light feature. Thanks for letting me know, that does help! Now if it just had a zoom in feature for these eyes of mine, Jeff
Re: Nikon D80 screen menu help
the rear LCD info display is available on the D40, D40x, D300, and D3, and probably any future releases. Unfortunately, not for the D200 or D80.

Oh..dang u Harrison. Now you've given me another reason to go with the D300.
Anybody want to buy a sweet '81 Goldwing?

In a reply with only two sentences in it you JUMPED from buying a D300 in the first sentence to selling a Goldwing in the second sentence. The reason for going by the screen name "Frog" is becoming clearer, LOL Jeff
