Hello guys, I have been asking about 50mm Nikkor primes not so long ago (to be used on a D70 and hopefully on a D200 later this year...). Since then, I have been looking at others Nikkor primes such the 28mm f/2.8.

That being said, I am somewhat bothered by the fact that all these primes were designed for film SLR's and none of them feature the special coating now found on newer digital specific lense. I fear that chromatic aberation from light bouncing off the sensor to the rear element may be an issue.

Then, I remembered that Sigma released the 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM prime few months ago which is digital specific (it even haves a sonic wave (so to speak) motor). Now, I haven't heard much about that one and I wasn't considering going third party. I am not looking for saving money by buying non Nikkor lenses but I look at the three reviews this lense got here and everybody gave it 5/5. They are all raving about the optics.

So, does anybody here tested the Nikon mount version of this Sigma???

regards

Seb
