Nikon D3100 or Rebel T2I

Hi. I am a starter in the DSLR market and i was wondering which cameras u guys think is better. I am leaning towards the D3100 cause of its specs and price.

i honestly do not know. I have a t2i and I like it a lot, but I think in general the Nikon Flash tech is a bit better so if i had not already been locked in i might have gone nikon.

Hmm. Im thinking Nikon cause the D3100 is much like a T2i except the D3100 is in my price range. I am 15 and i found that the rebel xs was to cheap and old. Anyway thanks

Whichever you go with, remember that you are buying into a system.
You can get some great third party lenses but you will always need the ones for the Nikon or Canon Mount.
I do think they are pretty much equal as far as lenses go with outstanding lenses and not so outstanding lenses by both.
Nikon supposedly has better flash system but I've never used a Canon one so couldn't say.
What kind of photography are you interested in?
Have you checked out Olympus, Pentax, Sony?
Whatever you end up with, be sure to come back and share your work and if experience teaches true, you'll have umpity-zillion questions you never thought of before. I still do.

Hey Thanks frog. I will be taking weather pictures ,wildlife, family ect basicly everything and i have seen lightning pics from a 3fps camera. Anyway i am almost certain about this camera. And yes i have checked the other offering from other companies like the ones mentioned.
