Just today, I stumbled on the [I]Let's Go Digital[I] website, and I saw a bunch of D-200 "kits"--each with a lens of some sort and different prices. If you could get a D-200 (WITH warranty) and, say, an 18-50mm lens...for just shy of $1,200.00, would that sway you forever from a D-70???

I wouldn't trust that kind of price. Too good to be true means just that.
Re: The Next Nikon DSLR- 20 day countdown!
i stayed up to look at the specs. I was not too impressed with the specs.
Does nikon have a full sensor? I don't really know since i'm a canon shotter.
Re: The Next Nikon DSLR- 20 day countdown!
I'm pretty sure nobody has a full sensor, last time I checked they were very expensive.

Re: The Next Nikon DSLR- 20 day countdown!
Kodak has made two Full Frame Nikon cameras (14mp) but Nikon has chosen instead to go for the 1.5x sensor and lenses optimized for it. They have stated on several occasions they are developing FF or near-FF, but will not commit to releasing it unless it meets their exacting requirements.
Besides why would it matter...Nikon wouldn't debut it on the sub-$1000 consumer model.
I personally found myself pretty pleased with the specs, considering the price point.
