    Help..Circular shadow bottom of images..
Okay, so I keep getting an odd circular shadow at the bottom of my images when I take photos indoors. Does not happen everytime, but seems to happen fairly frequently.

I am using the Nikon D90 with the 18-105mm lens. I'm guessing I am doing something wrong?

    Here is an example:

    Read the manual
You're using the camera's built-in flash with a subject that is very close. The shadow you're seeing is caused by the end of the rather long lens getting in the way of the flash.

    1. Read the camera manual (flash section) and see what the restrictions are for this lens
    2. If you're using the lens hood then remove it
    3. Don't try to shoot closer than the distance indicated in the manual
    4. If you want to shoot that close then buy a cobra type flash like the SB600

Thanks for the info. Right after I posted this I removed the lens hood thinking that it was getting in the way of the flash. It was! :mad2:
